What Does Jesus Have To Offer ?

Victory Over Sin and All The Things That Make You Miserable

2 Corinthians 5:17:  "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

This is what happens when we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. These two actions coupled together trigger a response from Jesus. He forgives our sins. Not just one, but ALL of our sins are forgiven. It doesn't matter what sin they are, they are completely forgiven ! They will NEVER be held against you by God..... ever ! That burden is gone. Isn't that so cool ?

And then there's more; The difference between our old selves and our new selves, is that the new creation is no longer a slave to sin as we formerly were. We are now freed from sin and it no longer has power over us (Romans 6:6-7). We are now empowered by righteousness and for righteousness. We have chosen not to “let sin reign us". We count ourselves “dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11-12).

The new creation (you as a Christian) will now have Jesus as your moral compass. Your passion will be righteousness through Jesus. Your past desires will begin to disappear as you go through the process of sanctification. Sanctification is a process where you become more and more righteous. You will desire more of Jesus and less sin (that sin that has made you miserable).

Happiness on Earth, While on Earth

We will live our mortal lives here on Earth and then eventually die and go to Heaven. But while we are here on Earth, we are able to enjoy God's creations; The oceans, the mountains, Earth's creatures, Earth's weather, each other, and so much more.

We can marvel at His immense powers of creation. Romans 1:20 says: "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." He leaves us so many clues that point to Him as the creator of the Universe.

Knowing He is the creator and that He has given it all to us, allows us to enjoy it all the more. And because we are now new creations, we are less likely to be tempted into the sins of the past (or new ones for that matter).

Sin is all around us, but we can now focus on avoiding that sin and enjoying so many other things here on Earth knowing that Heaven awaits us.

Peace and Rest - A Life With Less Worry

Matthew 10:29-31 tells us:  "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

You can count on the fact that God loves you. Know also, that He has a plan for you. Many times, we do not understand His plans. know this, His ways are greater than yours. Paul the apostle suffered greatly, but he knew that God was always under control. Paul also realized that our time on Earth is nothing compared to our eternal time in Heaven.

As Christians, we should use this to our advantage. All of us are so blessed by God and many times we don't even acknowledge it. The mere fact that you have at least one disc in your hand (two if you include the Jesus Disc), and shoes/boots to go play Disc Golf tells me that you are far more blessed than many others. Think about that for just one moment.

And trust me, you have been blessed just by finding the Jesus Disc and being here at this website. You know have more knowledge about Jesus than so many others. You are so blessed. Take advantage of this Devine intervention.

Be in continuous prayer. Pray for the blessings that you have been given. Pray for those around you, and then pray for yourself. Pray for any tribulations that you may be in the midst of. Have faith that He will act in an appropriate manner. Remember, He has a plan for you. He may be allowing tribulations in your life for a reason. Know that there is a plan which may include those tribulations.

He loves you and you are worth more than many sparrows.

Eternal Life

Romans 6:23:  "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

This is such an awesome verse. The bad news is, the wages of sin is death. However, the good news is, eternal life is a FREE gift of God. All you have to do is accept the gift, it's free. By repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus as your lord and Savior, you will receive eternal life with God.

Those that do not accept Jesus will still have eternal life, but it will be in the lake of fire (Hell).

What will heaven be like ??

Billy Graham put's it this way:

“Heaven will be what we have always longed for. It will be the new social order that men dream of. All the things that have made earth unlovely and tragic will be absent in heaven. There will be no night, no death, no disease, no sorrow, no tears, no ignorance, no disappointment, no war. It will be filled with happiness, worship, love, and perfection.

Heaven will be a place to challenge the creative genius of the unfettered mind of redeemed man.Revelation 21:4 says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
